Professional Experience

Nick Butter: A Journey of Endurance, Adventure, and Inspiration. Nick's athletic journey began at an early age, starting as a junior British ski racer at just 14. After transitioning to a successful career in banking, Nick initially set aside his passion for sport. However, his love for physical challenge never waned. Running, which began as a form of stress relief during his corporate life, soon reignited Nick’s competitive spirit. Fuelled by a determined mindset and an all-or-nothing attitude, he quickly rose through the ranks of the endurance world, securing new sponsors, coaches, and partners. Nick's prowess in ultra-distance running, mountain racing, and adventure challenges established him as a force to be reckoned with, amassing over 40 race wins, trophies, and medals throughout his career. However, it was his experience in the gruelling Marathon des Sables in the Sahara Desert that truly transformed him. It was here that Nick’s path crossed with Kevin, a terminally ill man whose conversations in the desert would ultimately inspire Nick’s most ambitious mission: to run a marathon in every country on the planet. Originally conceived as a fundraising endeavour, this monumental challenge propelled Nick into the global spotlight, solidifying his place as a respected figure in the running community. His world record-setting feats became the hallmark of his career, leading to book deals, bestsellers, and a booming speaking career. Nick's captivating stories and unwavering spirit have inspired over 300 audiences worldwide, having spoken at some of the most prestigious events including Buckingham Palace, Google, The Foreign Office, and The World Marathon Majors. His fourth book and documentary are set to release soon. As Nick edges closer to completing a staggering 100,000 miles of running, his influence continues to grow. His hugely successful venture, Run Weekends, offers well crafted trail running retreat holidays across 28 destinations worldwide, allowing others to experience the transformative power of running. It's for all abilities and there's no pressure to race. For Nick, Run Weekends is all about the community. Through every race, book, and speaking event, Nick Butter remains a beacon of inspiration, proving that with determination and purpose, the limits of human potential are astonishing.
